Drinking Horse Trailhead, 5 minutes from Bozeman

The Drinking Horse Mountain trail climbs 700 feet from Bridger Creek to the 5,522 foot summit of Drinking Horse Mountain.  It is moderately steep and has huge views at the top.  There are several private spots at the summit for a cool picnic! 

Lindley Park- downtown Bozeman, Montana. 

BOZEMAN, MT | E. MAIN STREET and BUTTONWOOD AVE  

This park is dreamy and has many private spots.  Hands down our first choice for a picnic in the park.  We would suggest setting up on the right side of the parking lot, or West side of the park. 

North Cottonwood Trail - 20-30 minutes from Bozeman.

A locals secret!  Fantastic spot to watch the sunset!  Beautiful drive out Springhill Rd just to get there and then you will find yourself on top of the valley... huge dramatic views.  Find a private spot just off of the trailhead.  

Hyalite Reservoir, Gallatin National Forest, 30-40 south of Bozeman

Hyalite is a short drive up a canyon on the south side of Bozeman.  The whole area is absolutely gorgeous filled with waterfalls and creeks and hiking trails and is our top choice if you are looking for a private and beautiful picnic! 

DRIVE TO SPANISH CREEK / TURNERS PROPERTY - 30-40 minutes from Bozeman

Take a gorgeous drive thru the canyon to The Spanish Creek road, which meanders thru Ted Turner ranch!  It will take your breath away... so beautiful.  Gorgeous creekside picnic spots at the campground!

Missouri Headwaters Park , Three Forks Montana - 

Make a beautiful day, playing in the park!  There are beautiful grassy spots along the river just yearning for a picnic! The park offers camping, hiking trails, hunting, and water-related activities.  Afterwards head over to the gorgeous Sacagawea Hotel for cocktails!
